Maiden Edition: Beam Outreach Weekly Community Updates

Bringing you the latest updates, news, initiatives and effort across the BOC platform and beyond

The first update from Beam Outreach, on some improvements and features added, with many more on the cards!

A big reminder that monthly voting is now open on-site, so jump in and throw your votes up! 

Most recent improvements: 

• RAYS added to Beam Butler 
  This brings with it the ability to have $RAYS tips, envelops, and general transactions. This will also allow for the first distribution of $RAYS to happen in the coming days. 

• Activities page now sorts by the most upvotes 

• Section added to the website for suggested improvements

• BOC can now send users notifications 
  

With these additions being made, something to look at is the other aspects that are being worked on and the implications of them.  

Current missions: 

• Notifications
  The plan is to add notifications for when someone has commented on one of your activities. This will make it easy to keep up to date with what is happening and get more involved with the feedback being received. Later this will be extended to customizable notifications (upvotes, feedback, time to vote, etc.)

• Admin panel update
  This will be updated to include both points and $RAYS. This will allow easy management for managing the platform on a grander scale. The ability to send update notifications from admins will be added to the platform. Another update will be to give different levels of access to admins, to get the community more engaged with the overall platform.

• New page for community suggested activities. It is also being looked into ways for posting bounties for others to fill and complete.

• Leaderboard update to show participants stats (number of activities completed or in progress, and time registered)

• BOC Forum: The platform’s town hall gathering where administrative decisions concerning the Beam Outreach platform can be made. Community members can forward their proposals, to improve, alter, remove or suggest certain aspects/actions on the platform, and the community can vote/decide on each proposal on a periodic basis. This presents an interesting use case for the $RAYS which can act as governance tokens through which community members can participate in the voting process.

• Labels: Appropriate tagging of community members' contribution in order to properly distinguish between various endeavours. Activities may carry varying rewards (can be decided in the BOC Forum) in $RAYS as some endeavours are more tasking and time consuming than others. With labels, this brings order to BOC, making it more scalable, easy to navigate and data-driven.

• Collaborations: Synergize with community members on tasks with BeamBot notifications. You can tag BOC members, and they’ll get a notification of your message, and you guys can collaborate and earn yourself some $RAYS

• Beam Shiller: Earn some $RAYS for spreading the word of $BEAM $RAYS $BEAMX on your favourite hangout platform on the internet. BeamBot has an existing service called Beam Shiller which aggregates links across various platforms once certain keywords like $Beam Privacy etc appear. Join the Beam Shiller army and earn some $RAYS in the process. 
  
  

BOC is Hiring!

The short-term goal of BOC is to get the community more involved with the running process of the Beam Outreach platform as the initiative moves to be completely community-driven. In this light, we’d like to announce that there are some areas where BOC needs strengthening/support, and we’re open to receiving proposals from community members willing to fill these positions. 

Twitter Unicorn: 

Looking for a Twitter admin to help maintain and promote BeamOutreach twitter, someone who is deeply familiar with Twitter, with a proven track record of successful campaigns and engagement for crypto projects. Someone who also engages with Beam and BeamOutreach. 

The initial compensation will be 2000 RAYS a month and this offer will be for 3 months before it will be renewed or discontinued based on performance. 

Telegram Ninja: 

Looking for a telegram moderator to help grow, engage and promote BeamOutreach telegram, someone who lives and sleeps online 24/7. The initial compensation will be 2000 RAYS a month and this offer will be for 3 months before it will be renewed or discontinued based on performance.

• Why you’re the right person for this role

• A link of Twitter accounts/Telegram communities you’ve managed for brands in the past or present (if any) 

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted either view mail or on Telegram. Write exhaustively to make a solid case for yourself as you’d expect others will be keen on these positions.
